Course Description: This course is a semester long elective course. This class will cover material from the dawn of human civilization to the dawn of Hellenistic Greece. Its major geographical focus will be on the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. We will cover civilizations such as the Greeks, Egyptians, Sumerians, Phoenicians, and Babylonians to name a few. We will study their societies, economic structures, political structures, technologies, infrastructure, and their interactions with other ancient civilizations. Most importantly, we will analyze how these ancient civilizations have shaped and influenced the world we live in today and we will compare their forms of civilization to our own

Anceint Middle Eastern Civilizations

Ancient Greece
